SeaSwallowMe This EP has been accompanying me for months, reminding me of some of my teenage faves (this is a compliment) - a collection of haunting lo-fi vignettes in the tradition of Mt Eerie, Okkervil River and early Bright Eyes while at the same time creating a universe of its own. Favorite track: Conifer Hell.

Go to bed and rest. Take your meds. The fever is slowly sinking. Your legs are still unsteady. Me and mom will be downstairs, watching TV. Wake up and put on some clothes. We have to drive to town. Getting some groceries. The forest seems calm, it's windy. And the trees are dancing in the wind. Is this heaven? Look out of the window. It's snowing. The year is almost over. And nothing of this happened. You're not real.

Muddy Roads 02:51
I believe that when I go to bed These spirits lay bad dreams upon my head. They were born some years ago. In the shadows of my room. I walk these muddy roads, every once in a while. And I try to come back home before it gets too dark. And then, when I lay down the night puts it's color on my heart. Get the candles and put them on the dresser So we can see our silhouettes, just like in the movies. I feel a weight inside my chest. not sure what I would be without it. And then they show up, standing at the windows, looking inside. They look familiar, but you say that it's just the past. And then I just ask tiredly when I get to rest. Time to throw some wood into the oven, so it won't get out. In the morning I will clean up the mess you left behind. And I will realize that maybe you left coat or something else. The wind will blow through the open door as I walk into the forest. Maybe for the last time, maybe not.

Conifer Hell 03:44
In the darkest night You left my side, ill be waiting for your return. The loneliest place on the earth's face is this house, is this room. The last breath you took That i was part of still echoes in my head. And even we're apart it's not by heart but by miles and time. Conifer Hell.
4.
Tristesse is my friend When im on the road. Almost crashed into a car. I said sorry to you. Burnt by coldness Your hands were blue. We were at places where darkness comes through. Collecting every detail. I'm the tree top. I'm the roots. We were left with questions, „can you count on me, can I count on you?“ I don't feel static. I come in different shades of blue. still remember every move, we made in that town by the woods, The breathing in rooms with wood panelled walls. An old cabin, dark and without lights, At 3 p.m. it got darker, became night. Another memory: Us standing by the road. (Standing by the road) You were wearing a coat. (I was wearing my coat) We weren't afraid. (I wasn't afraid) But we weren't good.
